The Red Cross Flag from the North Pole to the ICRC
    The President of the Lebanese Red Cross Ms. Suzanne Oueiss received the flag of the Red Cross from the Lebanese International Deseret runner Ali Wehbi after returning from the North Pole, where he planted the flag on 90 degrees to the axis of the Earth as a humanitarian initiative and a gift from the Lebanese Red Cross to the International Committee of the Red Cross on the occasion of celebrating150 years on founding the ICRC (1863). The runner Wehbi had done this mission during his participation in an international race in which 48 international runners from 20 countries participated in. In return, Ms. Oueiss handled the flag to the head of ICRC in Lebanon Mr. Jurg Montani as a gift on this International occasion which carries the slogan “150 years of humanitarian work” at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Lebanese Red Cross in the Spears in the presence of officials from the international Committee of the Red Cross and the Lebanese Red Cross, and in recognition of this valuable initiative Ms. Oueiss offered Wehbi a medal of honor as a token of gratitude. 
    
On the occasion of the celebrating the 150 years, the runner Ali Wehbi will make a national athletic program which will start from 25 till 29 June where he will make a tour all over the Lebanese provinces in order to spread the humanitarian principles under the slogan “150 years and running”. This program is organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross
