Lebanese Red Cross commemorates its martyrs
    Under the high patronage of President Michel Sleiman represented by the Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Walid Daouk, the Lebanese Red Cross commemorated the 28th anniversary of its martyrs in a ceremony held on the theater of St. Joseph school in Kornet Shahwan, attended by the president of the Lebanese Red Cross Suzanne Oueiss, and members of the Executive, Central, and local Committees, in addition to officials and directors, and was also attended by head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Yorg Montani, the head of MENA Zone - Federation RCRC Elias Ghanem, and a large number of veterans and current paramedics and the martyrs’ families. 
   
     The ceremony opened by the national anthem and Red Cross anthem, and after a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, the President of the Kornat Shahwan Georges Abi Rashed said the word of the organizers, followed by the speech of Ms. Oueiss. After that Oueiss handled minister Daouk the Medal of Honor, which was also distributed on the martyrs’ families. 
    
    The ceremony included a report on the problems that are facing the EMS daytime team and the proposed solutions. In addition, the artist Michel Fadel played a piece of music, and Tony Issa presented a theatrical performance on the occasion.
