The Lebanese Red Cross opening Rami Zeidan Blood Transfusion Center in Saida
Under the patronage of the President of the Lebanese Red Cross Dr. Antoine Zoughbi, the Lebanese Red Cross opened its new center for blood transfusion services in Saida (Rami Zeidan Blood Transfusion Center), which is offered by the business man Mohamad Zeidan and equipped at the expense of the Dutch Red Cross.
The ceremony was attended by a number of political, religious, civil and security figures, activists from Saida and the neighborhood, Mr. Mohamad Zeidan and his family, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Red Cross Georges Kettaneh, the member of the executive committee, head of blood transfusion centers Basel Makkawi, and delegations from the ICRC and IFRC and volunteers.
Speeches were thrown in the occasion by the head of the branch, Ms.Hiam Bizri Shrief, Mr. Zeidan and Dr. Zoughbi.
Later, Dr. Zoughbi, Kettaneh, and Shrief offered a medal of honor to Zeidan as a token of appreciation. They also offered the medal of the LRC to the Dutch Red Cross and the Swiss for their support to the blood transfusion centers.
The ceremony ended with a ribbon cut and a tour on the center.
