118,800 Humanitarian Services and Missions
The Lebanese Red Cross continues to offer its humanitarian services throughout Lebanese territories through all of its centers, units, vehicles, volunteers, and workers. The Lebanese Red Cross managed in December 2016 to offer the following:

Emergency Medical Services: The total number of tasks performed by the 46 EMS stations and four dispatch rooms reached 21778, including the transport of 919 traffic accident victims, the rescue and transport of 5 victims of various injuries, 16 burn injuries, 10 suicide cases, 31 poisoning cases, 11 infectious diseases cases, 490 heart problem cases, 248 cardiopulmonary resuscitation cases, and 119 child cases. The EMS teams were on alert over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Blood Transfusion Services: The 12 blood transfusion centers distributed 1766 blood units from all types after the necessary lab tests were conducted to ensure their safety, while a total of 1269 blood units were donated.
Medical-Social Services: This service is based on providing various medical examinations to patients from different categories and ages and distributing chronic disease medicine and implements reproductive health and psycho-social support programs through a network that is comprised on 38 stationary clinics and eight mobile clinics. The beneficiaries of the dispensaries reached 14786 while the beneficiaries of the mobile clinics reached 14827.
Disaster Management Unit: The Lebanese Red Cross offers through the Disaster Management Unit, which is backed by 15 teams that are distributed throughout regions, relief goods and implements several programs, which are: Relief, Disaster Risk Reduction, WASH, Cash Transfer Program, and distribution of cards for the purchase of fuel for heating. A total of 36232 people benefited from the programs.
Youth Department: The Lebanese Red Cross, through its 35 Youth Department centers, organizes numerous activities that focus on the dissemination of the humanitarian principles, health and youth, environmental awareness and others. A total of 28142 people benefitted from the activities.
