“Ensuring the emergency response capacity of the LRC, our primary humanitarian partner, is a priority for the ICRC”, said Fabrizzio Carboni, ICRC’s Head of Delegation. “It is part of our continuous efforts to build the overall capacity of the LRC, which includes as well training of staff in different fields, to help ensure the delivery of timely humanitarian services to the population in need.”
After receiving the ambulances, the president of the LRC Mrs. Suzanne Oueiss thanked the ICRC for its support to the society and said that this collaboration is an example of the special relations between the society and the ICRC and of the tight cooperation between the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The head of EMS Mrs. Rozy Boulos noted the initiative that ensures the success of EMS in its humanitarian work, which comes in line with the five-year strategy, particularly in the area of building capacities for effective and fast response.
